This past weekend was my birthday...so as a treat to myself my sister and I loaded up the kids and went to Lowry Zoo in Tampa. These are just a few on my favorites from the day.
March When Tim posted his March tag for the 12 Tags of 2013 I knew I was going to have to do some major improvising because although I have a lot of Tim Holtz products in my stash, the only things I had this time was the Foliage and Memo Pins. It took me a few days to wrap my head around it... but in the end I'm really happy with how my tag turned out and it was nice to have some creative time at my art desk. I looked at the picture of the die and sized my grass to match Tim's. I had Green Co-ordinations but not the Kraft one...so my grass is green on both sides of the fence. I sanded the paper first and then gave it a good dose of Walnut Stain Distress Ink before cutting. Then after I put it on my tag, I gave it a little hint of Picked Raspberry. Just a bit of fun with my stamps, inks and stencils today... I used Cat Walk stencil from the March release at A Colorful Life Designs and this cute singing cat from KaztelKraft that I purchased from TopFlight Stamps called Fernand - Les gros chats ! I used My Favorite Things Extreme Black Hybrid ink to stamp Fernand and Copics for coloring. I used Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink to stencil the background and wrote the sentiment with my Cricut Maker and Cricut fine line black marker. I hand drew the notes, as I couldn't find any tiny note stamps in my stash and then used black bling from EyeLet Outlet to pop up the notes and some fun colorful flower stickers from The Paper Studio. Although the photo doesn't really show it, the cat is stamped on the background and then stamped separately on another piece of white cardstock and fussy cut and layered on the background with foam tape. Found some blue cardstock to match in my stash and layered the sentime
