WOYWW #202

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday?

Didn't have the time this week to pull out paint or inks and play, but I did pull out the of my heat emboss-able film and my woodburner/stencil cutter and cut a few stencils to use with my Gelli Plate and sprays.

I printed out some shapes and dug out a piece of glass from a picture frame.
I used the page with all the circles as a template to cut some lumpy odd shaped circles which was really what I was wanting.

I cut a joyful silhouette and some other shapes that you can't see in the pictures.
I was really pleased with how they turned out once I got the hang of it and can't wait to try them out!

I may go back and try to make another stencil and cut them as perfect circles.
We will see just how ambitious I get!

Be sure and stop on over at Julia's Stamping Ground for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday and check out what everyone has been up to.
I'm headed over there now to post my link and take a peek at everyone's desks.

Thanks to all who drop by my little blog!  I love having visitors!
Please say a little hello in the comments if you are so inclined.
Have an artful day!
Anna

Your stencils are great. I have made some but they are very crude.

Wow! I love the stencils you have made. I have tried doing some with acetate and a craft knife and they work reasonably well with a gelli plate - not sure how long they'll last though. Thanks for sharing and Happy Woyww. Liz@73

ooh, looks like fun! Did you make the stencils out of glass or plastic...? I guess I got a little confused, hm. Anyways, love the joyful silhouette! She would be so fun with ruffled ribbon for her skirt! If you don't mind passing on where you found her I would love to know...especially if she is a stamp. I heart stamps, right now. :) Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me a comment already, have a great WOYWW. Deeyll #139

Hi Anna, Happy WOYWW and thanks for stopping by earlier. Your stencils are lovely, especially the dancer. I haven't made stencils for about 10 years when I designed a hanging garden theme with columns, flowers and butterflies for our bedroom.. a lot of stenciling LOL... but you have inspired me to have a go again- thank you. Have a lovely day.... Gill x

I love your stencil making - and yes, I do have a lot to knit - and you know - I am very easily bored by it - but I will of course finish - I have to take care in front of the TV - how fast a wrong stitch is made!!! And how often I have to knit backwards, haha. But I am patient

Great stencil making idea! I have a Silhouette machine, and I cut myself a load of masks/stencils from transparency sheets, they are so useful! Have a great week, Hugs Shaz #70 xx
